Fresh Homemade Spanish Food
Taberna La Caña Restaurante & Tapas is a unique eatery in the south of the island in Playa del Inglés (Gran Canaria). We are specialised in Spanish food, Mediterranean cuisine and tapas.
Here you can enjoy and share our fresh homemade food with your friends and family. The restaurant is run by brothers José Rehak, the head chef and Sergio Rehak, the general manager.
The kitchen team, formed by chefs José Rehak, Manuel García and Gerardo Santana have created a menu using the best and freshest produce for each season. Like Head chef Jose says «we have great respect towards Spanish cuisine and we get inspired from the traditional cooking from the north of Spain. When we were kids, our family from Galicia made the most delicious dishes for us and we strive revive those memories from childhood».

Come to try one of our specialities: paellas made with fresh seafood from Galicia and our daily homemade broths to give it and authentic flavour.
Also, one of our other favourites is the fresh suckling lamb from Segovia cooked with rosemary and garlic for 24 hours in the oven. So tender it can be eaten with a spoon. On the other hand, for the meat lovers, we have an amazing 28 day dry aged rib steak of beef from the Spanish region of Ávila.
We have some of the best tapas in the south of the island.
